Superfast Broadband for Longhope Imminent

Longhope is to get faster Broadband “within months” following an agreement between Gloucestershire and Herefordshire councils to form the “Fastershire” project. BT will be laying 2,500 kms of fibre optic cable at a cost of £35m to offer high speed Broadband to rural areas of both counties, to address poor coverage issues. Only five communities in The Forest are fortunate to have the service with Drybrook, Coleford, Cinderford, Lydbrook along with Longhope and should enable 90% of homes and businesses to have access by 2016, and is set to transform the lives of people in the village and wider area.
