Police are still appealing for witnesses after the murdered body of Tom Holt, a 36 year-old man from May Hill, was found in the River Frome at Avenbury, near Bromyard in Herefordshire. Police are anxious to hear from anyone who may have seen any unusual or suspicious activity near the disused church of St Mary's at Avenbury over recent weeks.
Det Insp Dave Llewellin, who is leading the inquiry, said that they were particularly keen to focus on unusual or suspicious activity or vehicles seen in the area in September. He also wants to trace the whereabouts of Mr Holt since the end of August, as he was last seen by his family at that time. A post-mortem examination has been unable to determine exactly when he died.
More than 50 police officers are now working on the investigation. A man and a woman from Ledbury are still being questioned on suspicion of murder.
